Spider-Woman vs She-Hulk. Who's hotter?

Spider-Woman VS She-Hulk. Who's Hotter?
If She-Hulk and Spider-Woman were to battle, I'm betting that She-Hulk would probably win. Sure, Spider-Woman would get some good shots in and with some luck, she may hit Shulkie with some venom, but, lets face it, She-Hulk is way too powerful. Of course, I'm referring to the Spider-Woman and She-Hulk from when I was a kid in the late seventies and early eighties. Spider-Woman and She-Hulk from back then is all I've known, You see, I typically purchase and collect comic books from the Bronze Age and earlier (1980's back to the Golden Age). And, I'll admit that I don't really pick up too many modern comic books -- a few here and there, but not more than a dozen or so a year. So, I wasn't aware of the updated She-Hulk and Spider-Woman characters until recently.

She-Hulk today is not as "Savage" as she used to be. In fact, she's capable of transforming into Shulkie while maintaining her composure and her high level of intelligence. In my opinion, the old She-Hulk is a primal savage brute in comparison. Plus, the new She-Hulk is way, way hotter. Take a look...
She-Hulk

I gotta say that I was surprised to see a hot She-Hulk. She's very green, but very, very hot. That's not to say that the old She-Hulk was not intended to be sexy. In fact, she was intended to be an attractive savage green brute that could put a hurting on anyone, anytime, anywhere. I just didn't really notice the attractive part. In my opinion, she was a little manly. Today's She-Hulk is very female and very intentionally sexy. That's a key part of who and what the character is - a hot, intelligent being with very special abilities. After all, if you consider that the average comic book reader today is an adult male, an intentionally sexy character like the modern day She-Hulk will likely sell lots of comic books. Of course, the story line has to be somehwat good too, but well endowed female characters definitely help.

And, just in case you didn't notice the fact that the new She-Hulk is intended to be sexy in the image above (I'm not sure how you couldn't notice), take a look below at another great She-Hulk...
She-Hulk
Now that we've seen a llittle bit of the modern day She-Hulk, it's time to switch gears and take a look at Spider-Woman. As a kid, I liked Spider-Woman comics and preferred them over She-Hulk comics. I guess it's probably because I liked Spider-Man and, naturally, I would like the female version. The Spider-Woman of the seventies and eighties was intended to be sexy and, unlike the She-Hulk of that era, I must admit that I noticed. Today's Spider-Woman is very similar to the Spider-Woman of my childhood. Spider-Woman's appearance and character did not change as dramatically as the She-Hulk's appearance and character, but there is a noticeable upgrade to Spider-Woman's appearance.

Spider-WomanThe image to the left is Spider-Woman as she appeared on the cover of Spider-Woman #1 in 1978. The cover of Spider-Woman #1 is one of my favorite Spider-Woman covers of all time. This Spider-Woman is clearly intended to be attractive and mysterious. But, the art style does not push Spider-Woman's hot-ness on the viewer. Well..., maybe a little. She is rather curvy in the right places. Still, it's not the same style of sexuality seen in the modern She-Hulk comics - at least in my opinion.

Anwyay, The first time I saw the modern day Spider-Woman was on the cover of Spider-Woman #1 from 2009. It's a stunning cover that looks more like a photo that a model might have in her portfolio than art for a comic book cover. Oh. And I should add that it screams of intentional hot-ness. It's a body shot from the thighs up of Spider-Woman standing while lifting one leg off the ground towards her torso. This leg lifting thing yields very visible curves of the hips. Spider-Woman's breasts are front and center and very large and very curvacious as well. So, this leads me to believe that intentional curvacious-ness equals intentional hot-ness. Her face is only half visible - one half in shadow and one half in light. The sum of the whole is the cover forces you to focus on Spider-Woman's hips and breasts - which, by the way, is not necessarily a bad thing.

You might be wondering why I didn't just show the cover art rather than attempting to explain what it looks like. Well, I dunno. I just like to rant sometimes. Anyway, here it is...

Spider-Woman

Told ya! This is definitely not something you would see in a Spider-Woman comic from the 70's and 80's. This style of comic art was just not mainstream then, if at all. In fact, this particular cover is very unique. So, it's not really mainstream today either, but hot female super heroes are. Below is the alternate cover for Spider-Woman #1 from 2009.

Spider-Woman

Wow. Not too shabby. The spicy colors are great too. Here's another very curvy modern day Spider-Woman...

Spider-Woman

Very Hot! Now, as I stated earlier, a physical battle between She-Hulk and Spider-Woman would probably end in Spider-Woman's defeat. But, that doesn't matter anyway. The real challenge is determining who's hotter. Spider-Woman or She-Hulk? That truly is a tough question to answer. Before I can make a determination, if that's even possible, I'll need to purchase and read some more of the modern Spider-Woman and She-Hulk comics.

Will it be the super sexy Spider-Woman?
Spider-Woman

OR, the sensationally hot law practicing She-Hulk?She-Hulk

We shall see.
