Where immaturity prospers
Daredevil and Elektra Movies

DaredevilElektraThis past weekend, I watched the Daredevil movie for, probably, the 6th or 7th time. This is the first time that I was actually able to watch the movie in its entirety from start to finish. Prior to this, every viewing was cut off in some way. I either turned the movie on X number of minutes into it or had to leave before it was over. So, technically, before this past weekend, I've seen the whole movie - just not in one sitting and over a period of a few years. The movie was O.K.. I've heard some folks slam the movie and claim that it's horrible. Well, I disagree. It definitely isn''t horrible. It just isn''t that great.

The acting isn't bad, but the movie sort of flails in the action and suspense department and just didn't deliver that umph that I expect from a superhero movie. Aside from that, it is a mildly entertaining movie and I'm glad I FINALLY watched the entire movie from start to finish. After all, the movie came out in 2003 and it's now 2011. I've been trying to watch this movie for a very, very, very long, long time.

Ben Affleck as Matt MurdockBen Affleck as DaredevilBen Affleck delivers a pretty good Mike Murdock (a.k.a Daredevil). I think that the lack of umph of the movie is not Ben's fault at all. The producers and directors mucked that up a little bit. So, Ben was somewhat restricted at really delivering an awesome Daredevil which he's definitely capable of doing.

Jennifer Garner was a great choice to play the role of Elektra Natchios. She wouldn't have been my first choice for the role, but she definitely delivers a very tough and sexy Elektra. That chick has some serious fighting moves and is a pleasure to watch in that tight black Elektra outfit.

Michael Duncan cast as Kingpin is awesome. His look and build fit the character perfectly.

Collin Farrell as Bullseye is O.K. - nothing special. But, I like that bullseye brand on his forehead and he adds a comedic element to the movie, for sure.

All in all, the Daredevil movie is mediocre. Would I watch it again? Probably on a boring, cold, and rainy day and it's really the only thing to watch and/or I'm too lazy to get up to find the remote - which is exactly what happened this past weekend when I FINALLY watched the entire movie from start to finish.

In 2005, the Elektra solo movie was made. I'm surprised that Marvel and Hollywood opted to give Elektra her own solo movie. I would have thought that Spider-Woman would have her own solo movie before Elektra. I've heard that the Elektra movie is not very good, but I haven't seen it to agree or disagree. I'll give it a whirl though because Jennifer Garner also plays Elektra in that movie - this time in Elektra's red suit.

Anyway, I'll be looking out for the Elektra movie to see if it is any good or not. At the very least, Jennifer Garner as Elektra will be nice to look at.

Elektra is moderately popular as a costume for women. What follows are a few Elektra cosplay babes - none of them nearly as qualified as Jennifer Garner. In fact, Jennifer Garner makes most of these girls look like flea market Elektras. Oh, well.

I wonder if Carmen Electra ever considered being Elektra in a movie or real life. She's got the look and the name. But, can she fight?

And, for consistency, I have to mention Kim Kardashian at least once. She comes up in, approximately, half of my rants for one reason or another. So, in the spirit of Elektra's red suit...

Nuff said. This rant is starting to get stupid - sort of like this guy as Daredevil...
